Reading challenges '09

I'm pretty sure that somewhere along the line I vowed never to get myself into any of these but I've decided to sign up for a bunch of 'em. I'm not making things too hard for myself though - mostly I found challenges that would accommodate pre-existing goals. Hopefully a bit of external pressure will help me actually do something about them.

The name of the challenge links to my own post with the details of the challenge and the host's name links to the sign-up page.

RYOB Challenge hosted by MizB

Casual Classics Challenge also hosted by MizB

Essay Reading Challenge hosted by Carrie

A couple of mini-challenges I've set myself.

Uhhh, I'm guessing you pre-dated this entry deliberately?

I was so confused when I went to your blog to read Music Monday and it wasn't right at the top! LOL!

Picture of Dorian Gray was GOOD!!

I decided to start participating in the 100 short stories challenge, which I already have a good lead on so *shrugs*

Happy New Year and Happy Reading!

I like the RYOB challenge. I may have to give that one some thought. I also like that you managed to get the same book on two lists ... so if you don't get through Mansfield Park at some point, you'll have some explaining to do :)
Good luck with the challenges!

There once was a blog called breathlessmind
Whose owner inspiration could not find
Breathless begged and did plead
But will Jenny heed?
Or will Breathless throw self into Rhine?

*hint*
(sorry about the awful rhyming and Middle English-era word order :-P)
